In 1998, Bob and I brought home our first Clumber puppy, Maddie (Ch. Cameo Comedy The Divine Ms. M, WD, JH, SH, MH), from Dan and Leslie Connell of Cameo Clumbers. Little did we know at the time the famous paw prints that Maddie would leave on the Clumber world.

Having been involved in the sport of purebred dogs when I was in high school, I returned to the ring and handled Maddie to her AKC championship in 1999. Maddie then began her field training with Bob. Bob owner trained and handled Maddie all the way to the title of AKC Master Hunter in 2001. She is the first Clumber in history to earn this distinction, and as of 2008, is still the only Clumber female to earn the Master Hunter title.

From Maddie and her offspring, we have begun a line of dogs bred for health, temperament, beauty and performance. Our 2007 highlights include winning Best of Breed/Best Bred-by-Exhibitor at the 2007 AKC Eukanuba National Championship Show and an Award of Merit at the 2007 CSCA Clumber National. In 2006 we were honored with winning Best Bred-by-Exhibitor Clumber at the AKC Eukanuba Classic, Best in Sweepstakes at the American Spaniel Club Show, and earning the Master Hunter title on Maddie’s son, “Red” (Ch. Creswick Cameo Simply Red, WDX, JH, SH, MH).

We are members of the Clumber Spaniel Club of America (CSCA) and the Mt. Rainier Sporting Spaniel Association (MRSSA). In addition, Bob is the Field Chair for the CSCA and we are both licensed AKC hunting test judges.

Our daughter Lauren is active in Junior Showmanship and the breed ring. She has three times been named the CSCA’s Top Junior Handler. In 2006, she finished her first Clumber champion, Velvet (Ch. Creswick Cameo Red Velvet CW, JH). Our son John loves Clumbers, baseball, and soccer and looks forward to entering his first hunting test one day.
